A workspace is where your brand lives in MarketingBlocks. Your brand details, writing voice, content, and connected channels all belong to the workspace you’re in. This article walks you through creating one.

Now that you know your way around the dashboard, let’s set up a workspace.

Step 1: Create the Workspace

Click the workspace switcher at the top-left of the page, next to the logo. In the menu that opens, click Create workspace. When it opens, input your brand name and click Create workspace

Step 2: Tell Us About Your Brand

This screen helps your AI team understand your brand and plan your content.

  • Your Name: the name you use for your personal brand.
  • Describe your brand: share who you help, what you offer, and what you want your content to achieve. You can do this in two ways:
  • Talk it through: click the microphone and answer out loud, as if you were having a conversation with the AI. The same five questions below come up as you go.
  • Fill a Form: answer the five questions in writing instead:
  1. Who are you? Your work, expertise, and what makes you, you.
  2. Who do you serve? The people you help and the challenges they face.
  3. How do you help them? Your approach and the transformation you help create.
  4. What do you sell? Your products or services, or what you might offer in the future.
  5. What should your content achieve? Build trust, start conversations, attract clients, or something else.
  • You don’t have to answer everything. Click Use my answers to add them to your brand description, or click Cancel to go back.
  • Website or profile links (optional): add up to 3.

Click Continue.

Step 3: Make Your Content Unmistakably You

Set how your content sounds, then choose how it looks.

Your writing voice. Pick one:

  • Clear and practical: plain language, useful examples, actionable advice.
  • Warm and conversational: friendly, reassuring, like a one-to-one conversation.
  • Bold and direct: a strong point of view, short sentences, no hedging.
  • Use writing voice presets: choose from 43 available writer styles

Click Edit writing instructions to adjust the instructions yourself.

Your visual style. Choose a theme: Editorial, Bold, Studio, Editorial Lime, Midnight Contrast, or Quiet Gold. Click More to see additional themes. A preview panel on the right shows the colors and fonts of the theme you’ve selected.

To change them, click Customize colors and fonts. You can set:

  • Background
  • Text
  • Primary accent
  • Secondary accent
  • Heading fot
  • Body font

Click Continue.

Step 4: Add a Photo for Your Digital Twin

This screen is titled Show up without the camera. One clear, well-lit photo of you is enough.

  1. Click Upload photos.
  2. Choose up to 5 photos. They can be JPG, PNG, or WebP, up to 10 MB each.
  3. Click How photos are used if you want to know what happens to them.

A sample layout on the right shows what your content can look like once you add your photo. If you’d rather not add one now, click Add photos later. You can come back to it any time from Digital Twins under Brand in the left-hand menu.

Step 5: Connect a Channel

This screen is titled Where will your brand show up? Connect a channel for publishing, or go straight to your content plan. You can add channels later, and connecting a channel doesn’t publish anything.

The channels you can connect are:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Threads

Click Connect next to a channel to link it, or click Skip for now. When you’re ready, click Build my content plan.

Step 6: Review Everything and Create Your Workspace

MarketingBlocks now builds your plan and takes you to a page called Your brand & content. This is your chance to review everything before your workspace is created.

  • Research & strategy (left side): shows Ethan working through research on your brand and audience, step by step. When it finishes, you’ll see Complete.
  • Content Ideas, Brand Profile, and Audience Research (right side): three tabs to review. Content Ideas opens first, under the heading “Your first content is taking shape.” Each idea has a heart icon and a copy icon.

When you’re happy with what you see, click Hire Your AI Team at the bottom. This creates your workspace in full.

If You Skipped Something

You don’t need to finish everything now. You can come back to your brand profile, writing voice, reference documents, and channels any time from the Workspace setup checklist at the bottom of your dashboard.

That's it!
