Approvals is where you review your content before it moves on. When a post needs a decision from you, whether that’s the writing, a recording, or the finished post, it shows up here. You can also see every decision you’ve made.
When you create a post with Review each stage, MarketingBlocks pauses for your approval at each stage, so nothing goes live without you.
How to Get There
From the left-hand menu, click Content to expand it, then click Approvals.

What’s on the Page
The page is titled Approvals. At the top you’ll find:
- A view dropdown on the left. It switches between Needs review and Decision history. The number next to Needs review is how many items are waiting for you.
- Search content to find an item.
- Filters to narrow the list.
- List and grid icons on the right to change how items are displayed.

Needs Review
This is the default view. It lists content waiting for your decision.
If there’s nothing to review, the page says No pending reviews. It explains that writing, recording, and final reviews will appear here when they’re ready.
Items can wait for you at these points:
- Writing: the hook, sub hook, and caption are ready to check.
- Recording: a recording is ready for you.
- Final: the finished content is ready for a last look.
Open an item to review it. For a post, this is the Review writing and Review design pages from Creating Posts. On each one you can approve the stage, or click Request changes to ask for something different.
Your Content overview on the dashboard also shows what’s waiting. The Awaiting review card and the Pending reviews panel both link here.
Decision History
To see what you’ve already decided, open the dropdown and choose Decision history. The page lists your past decisions in a table with these columns:
- Content: the title of the item. Click it to open the content.
- Decision: what you decided, for example Approved.
- Revision & stage: which version it was and which stage the decision was for, for example “v1 · writing” or “v5 · final.”
- Feedback: anything you wrote when you made the decision. It shows a dash if you didn’t leave feedback.
- Date: when you made the decision.
At the bottom, a line shows how many items there are (for example, “4 items · Page 1 of 1”). Use the arrows to move between pages.

Reading the Revision & Stage Column
Every time you approve, MarketingBlocks records it against the version and the stage. A post that you approved at the writing stage and again at the final stage appears as two rows. The version number goes up each time the content is revised, which is why one post can show v4 at the writing stage and v5 at the final stage.
Why This Matters
Approvals keep you in control. You decide what moves forward, and you have a record of what was approved and when.
