In Read This First, you saw what MarketingBlocks is and how it works. Now let’s make it yours.
Pre-Flight Setup is a short guided setup that runs after you’re onboarded. It personalizes your Digital Twin and your creative preferences while your content foundation is built, so your first content already looks and sounds like you.
Every step is optional, and you can go at your own pace. You can skip any step and come back to it later.
How to Get There
Pre-Flight Setup opens after onboarding. To open it again later, click Settings in the left-hand menu to expand it, then click Pre-Flight Setup.

What’s on the Page
The page is titled Make it yours. We’ll get the ideas ready. At the top-right, Skip setup lets you leave the setup and carry on.
Under the heading, a card shows where your content foundation stands. When it’s finished, it says Your content foundation is ready. It also confirms that your content pillars and post ideas are ready for your campaign, with each one marked Ready. In the example screenshots, that’s 50 post ideas.
Below the card, the setup has two parts:
- Left side: the five steps, so you can see where you are.
- Right side: the step you’re on, labeled with its number (for example, “Step 1 of 5”). Steps 1 to 4 are marked “Optional · go at your pace.”
The five steps are:
- Selfie: put a face to your brand
- Talking head: choose how you appear
- Voice: find your sound
- Content defaults: set your creative direction
- First campaign: turn ideas into a plan
Under the list, a note reminds you that every step is optional and you can return any time from Settings.

Step 1: Selfie
Your Digital Twin uses this photo to represent you in your content. Choose one face, looking at the camera, with good lighting.
- Drag and drop your photo into the box, or click browse files.
- Use a JPG, PNG, or WebP file, up to 10 MB.
- Click Continue.
The face check runs on your own device before the photo is uploaded. It only checks that a face is visible, and it doesn’t verify who you are.
To skip this for now, click Skip this step. Click Back to return to the previous step. These three buttons appear on every step.

Step 2: Talking Head
This step sets up how you appear in talking-head videos. The page tells you which twin you’re setting up: your workspace’s default Digital Twin.
If you added a selfie in Step 1: a banner says “Use your saved selfie as your talking-head portrait.” Click Use saved selfie to use that photo.
If you haven’t set up an avatar: the page shows No avatar yet. Give your twin an on-camera presence by uploading a photo or generating a portrait. Click Set up avatar to begin. Each twin has one talking head, and you can change it anytime.
Once an avatar is set: the page shows your Avatar photo with an In use label, a note that it’s your twin’s talking-head portrait, and where it came from (for example, Selfie). Click Change avatar to replace it.
Click Continue when you’re ready.

Step 3: Voice
This step gives your twin a voice for narration and spoken content. If there’s no voice yet, the page says No voice yet. Click Set up voice. A window asks how you’d like to add the voice, and you have three choices:
- Choose a stock voice: listen to the voice library and pick a match.
- Clone your voice: create a voice from a clear audio recording.
- Import from ElevenLabs: connect a voice you already have.
Each twin has one voice, and you can change it anytime.

To clone your voice:
- Click Clone your voice.
- Give the voice a name under Voice name.
- Upload a clear recording of one speaker, without background music or noise. Drag and drop it, or click browse files. Use an MP3, M4A, WAV, or WebM file, up to 10 MB.
- Once your file is added, it appears with its name and size. Click the X next to it to remove it.

- Tick the box to confirm you have the rights and consent to clone this voice and use it in your content.
- Click Clone voice.
Click All voice options at the top of the window to go back and pick a different method.

Step 4: Content Defaults
Set your creative direction.

Step 5: First Campaign
This last step is marked Optional, with the note “Draft only. Activate when you’re ready.”
A campaign gives your content team an ongoing assignment: what to create, how often, and which channels to use. Click Set up first campaign to begin.
Your campaign saves as a draft, so nothing is created until you’re ready. Activate it from Campaigns when you want to start creating. To see campaigns you’ve already made, click View existing campaigns.
When you’ve finished, click Finish setup.

Skipped Something?
You don’t need to finish everything now. Every step is optional, and you can come back to any of them from Settings - Preflight setup.
