Channels are the social accounts that MarketingBlocks publishes your approved content to. Connect them before you schedule anything, because a post needs an account to go to. Connecting a channel doesn’t publish anything by itself.

If you connected a channel during workspace setup, it will already appear here.

How to Get There

From the left-hand menu, click Publishing to expand it, then click Channels.

What’s on the Page

The page is titled Publishing channels, with the line “Connect the accounts you publish to.” At the top-right you’ll find:

  • Refresh to update the list.
  • Add channels to connect a new account.

If you haven’t connected anything yet, the page says No publishing channels and asks you to choose a channel to deliver your approved content. Click Add a channel to start.

Step 1: Choose a Platform

Click Add channels or Add a channel. A window titled Add channel opens. Choose a platform, then review its connection options. The window lists:

  • Facebook: connect the Facebook Pages you manage.
  • Instagram: connect your professional Instagram account.
  • LinkedIn: connect your LinkedIn profile.
  • X: connect your X account.
  • TikTok: connect your TikTok creator account. Direct posting requires a separate consent flow.
  • TikTok Business: connect through TikTok for Business. Publishing is not available yet.
  • Threads: connect your Threads profile.
  • Email: receive approved content in your inbox for manual posting.

Connect a Facebook Page

Step 2: Review the Optional Permissions

Click Facebook. Below the platforms, a section called Connect Facebook appears, followed by Optional permissions. These permissions are selected by default, and you can turn off any you don’t need before connecting. For example, Comment automation lets MarketingBlocks manage comments and replies, including private replies.

Click Connect Facebook.

Step 3: Choose Your Pages on Facebook

Facebook opens and asks you to choose the Pages you want MarketingBlocks to access. You have two options:

  • Opt in to all current and future Pages: gives access to your current Pages and any you create later.
  • Opt in to current Pages only: gives access only to the Pages you select.

If you choose current Pages only, tick the Pages you want, or tick Select all. A counter shows how many you’ve selected. Then click Continue. Click Back to go back.

Step 4: Review the Access Request

Facebook now shows Review MarketingBlocks’s access request. This lists what MarketingBlocks will be able to do with the Pages you selected:

  • Manage ads for ad accounts that you have access to
  • Access your Facebook ads and related stats
  • Access profile and posts from the selected Instagram account
  • Manage and access Page conversations in Messenger
  • Create and manage content on your Page
  • Manage comments on your Page
  • Read content posted on the Page
  • Create and manage ads for your Page
  • Manage accounts, settings, and webhooks, and access content enforcement data for a Page
  • Read user content on your Page
  • Show a list of the Pages you manage

Click Save.

Step 5: Confirm the Connection on Facebook

Facebook confirms that your account has been connected to MarketingBlocks. Click Got it. You’re taken back to MarketingBlocks.

Step 6: Choose Your Facebook Pages in MarketingBlocks

Back in MarketingBlocks, a window called Choose Facebook Pages opens. Choose the Pages to use in this workspace. Existing connections stay as they are unless you select them to refresh access.

  1. Use Search Pages to find a Page by name or ID.
  2. Tick the Pages you want. A line shows how many are selected.
  3. Click Connect Page. The button shows how many Pages you’re connecting, for example Connect 1 Page.

If a Page is missing, check that Facebook granted this app access and that you have publishing access to the Page. Then connect again. The Page selection expires after 15 minutes, so finish this step soon after you return.

Step 7: Finish

A message confirms how many Pages are connected, for example, “1 Facebook Page connected.” It also reminds you that you can manage posting times and channel availability in Channels. Click Done.

Connect an Instagram Account

The process for Instagram is the same.

  1. Click Add channels, then choose Instagram.
  2. Review the optional permissions and turn off any you don’t need.
  3. Click Connect, then follow the on-screen steps to choose your account and approve access.
  4. Redirected back to MarketingBlocks, confirm the account and click Done.

Instagram needs a professional account.

Your Connected Channels

Once connected, each channel appears as a card on the Publishing channels page. A card shows:

  • The account’s picture and name
  • The platform, for example Facebook Page
  • The Channel ID, with a copy icon beside it
  • A status line
  • Enabled, which shows the channel is active
  • A Posting times link, which takes you to the times for that channel
  • A three-dot menu in the corner

A note under your channels explains how they work with campaigns. Campaigns control new content. Disabling a channel pauses delivery and holds pending posts while keeping its authorization.

Advertising Accounts

Below your channels, an Advertising Accounts section manages the accounts and identities used for campaign drafts. Connecting an advertising account does not start an ad. For Meta, you can select ad accounts and update permissions.

Add More Channels Any Time

Click Add channels whenever you want to connect another account. Click Refresh if a new connection doesn’t appear straight away.
